After a period of red pill exploration I have decided to embrace Christian masculinity. I am working to improve myself for God’s glory. My plan is to find a wife and raise a large family with traditional values. Failing that, by age 35 I plan to have established a plan and enough income to live independently without relying on a regular job.

Early on I tried to respond to every comment, but found I often had nothing worthwhile to say. Having too many comments of the blog author agreeing with the commenter agreeing with the blog author was rather redundant (and slightly egotistical). I read every comment made on this site, but will only reply if I have something to add that I believe to be of value.

Thanks. Yeah, I read your book and when you described your job in the Canadian public service and your thoughts about it; it very closely matched what I’ve been noticing about my job for the last few months.
As for Shoshin, I’ve heard that word before in my martial arts practice. Good to know what it means. I’m trying to keep my mind open while I consider things.

I am interested in articles that discuss women acting one way, and freaking out if the obvious is verbalized. If you have written on the subject, or read a good article on it, I would appreciate being pointing in the right direction.
One example is I broke up with a woman last week for her being “put out” over me assuming I was sleeping at her place, even though we had slept with each other every week for several weeks. Another example is when a date is not supposed to be called a date: http://wp.me/p2Pdiy-Br
Calling an obese women “fat”, or a women that sleeps with many men a “slut”, are more extreme examples.
But I am talking about the phenomenon of women acting one way, and being okay with it as long as the elephant in the room isn’t verbalized. This characteristic is causing me much grief as I continue to date.

If you would like to submit a guest post, simply send it to me at the e-mail above. There are no guidelines other than to make it mostly readable and it has to be somewhat related to the blog.

I do know the difference between the two, but given that I write a few thousand words on here a week with no editor, typos and mistakes are somewhat common. But I edited it.

Just found your blog and I must say that I’m very impressed with your level of insight. I am new to the manosphere and I am finally able to put form to the ideas that I have carried for most of my life but have not been able to crystalize. Although our life situations are overly similar (I am a mid-forties married male), much of what you write resonates with me quite a bit. Keep the faith and stay on the journey. Hi Joana,
I think the pastor is going a bit far. While generally men like to pursue, and women prefer being pursued, there’s nothing inherently wrong about a woman asking a man for a date. If a women likes a man, I would urge her to take some action, even if not asking her out, at least making it very clear she would like to be asked out. Although, many men do like to pursue, so there is the small chance that a women asking would lead to rejection when her presenting herself might have led to him asking, but that’s a tactical rather than moral issue.
Now, the pastor is correct that if a woman makes a habit of perpetually asking men out with no greater purpose, that would be a problem of her priorities, but that would also go for men.

Kudos to you for taking deliberate steps to sort through these big questions. So many young men don’t bother to think about anything.
I read Captain Capitalism regularly, and find a fair amount of what he says useful, but he does have an axe to grind against Christians and against family. If you are wrestling about your faith and desire for a family, you won’t find any support for either there. An interesting manosphere blog I read regularly is Married Man Sex Life, who is an ex-Christian but much of what he writes I find to be very compatible with Christian mores.
Libertarianism as a broader subject I have had more interaction with on a personal level. I believe it is fully compatible with Christian thought and know some pastors who would hold to those ideas politically. However, I know several people on a personal level who would claim to follow Christ but have gone off the rails because of their libertarian perspectives. One of the most critical passages when dealing with anarcho-libertarianism is wrestling carefully with Jesus’ command to render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and Paul’s teachings in his epistles with regards to the role of government in our lives. I think a true anarcho-libertarian will inevitably place his politics in front of his faith if he doesn’t submit to Christ with regards to the importance of politics in the life of the believer. It is secondary to the mission of God if you truly follow Christ.
Happy to chat more about these issues. I used to blog on politics extensively… but life keeps me too busy to blog regularly anymore. I am more conversant in the intersection of faith and politics, so let me know if there is anything you’d like to discuss.

Hey carbuncle. He does seem to have a few axes to grind, but its more interesting than offensive. MMSL is good, but I don’t check it out as much as I used to. Probably will more if/when I get married.
Christ does have to come first. If there is no Caesar, what does not have to render unto him.
